Rat Lab Badge Guide: Roblox Badges, Not Trading Cards
How Rat Lab badges work on Roblox, including the Test Subject first-join badge and links to all six official badge requirements. No trading-card or item values.
The Rat Lab badge system is a Roblox badge system, not a Steam trading-card set. That distinction is important because searches for “Rat Lab badge” can surface an unrelated indie game with collectible cards. In the Roblox experience, badges are account awards tied to specific in-game actions.
What a Rat Lab Badge Is
Roblox badges are earned by meeting a condition inside an experience. They appear on the player's Roblox profile and on the game's badge list. They are not inventory items, cosmetic headcovers, or tradeable cards unless a separate Roblox item is explicitly published.
The official Rat Lab experience currently exposes six enabled badges through Roblox's public badge API. The first one most players encounter is Test Subject, described as “Report to the lab for the first time.”
Three Examples
| Badge | Official description | What it confirms |
|---|---|---|
| Test Subject | Report to the lab for the first time | You joined the experience |
| For Science | Run your first experiment on a live subject | You tried the Scientist experiment loop |
| Out of the Lab | Clear all three stages and get outside for the first time | You completed a full Lab Rat escape |
The full list, including the security and mutation badges, is on the Rat Lab achievements page.
How to View the Badge List
- Open the official Rat Lab page.
- Open the game's badges section.
- Select a badge to read its exact requirement.
- Check your Roblox profile after earning it.
Roblox's public data is the best source for the requirement text. A third-party page may copy an old list or mix in a different game called Lab Rat.
What This Page Does Not Claim
- No trading-card series, foil badge, emoticon, or profile background.
- No headcover, outfit, or trophy item values.
- No permanent gameplay stat boost from a badge.
- No hidden badge list.
Those claims appeared in the previous version of this page and described another product. They have been removed rather than relabeled as Rat Lab content.
